Andrea McMillan
I am stitched textile artist working with fabric, thread and a sewing machine. I specialise in free-machine quilting and my work is inspired by what I see around me, as well as colour and Celtic designs.
My pieces are all original and can take between 5 and 100 hours to make. I use images of my work on cards (£2.50), coasters (£3.50) and mugs (£9.00), while my textile pieces range in price from £35 to over £500. I have included some of the smaller items here, you can see my larger work on this website (look at Home and Gallery) - please contact me for more details.
I work from photos and do take commissions.
These small pieces are all £35 each. The framed pictures are 6-inch square and mounted without glass. The gold ones are mounted on 8-inch canvasses, and the tree frogs (there are 5 different colours) are approx. 8 x 6 inches and hang on the wall.
More 6-inch square pieces, these have a festive theme.

The four pictures here are 12-inch square. The texture and stitching are integral elements of my work and I never mount my pieces behind glass.

This series are my Little Treasure. They are mounted on canvas, 7x5 inches and 8-inch squares. They made from gold fabric with heavy free-machine stitching and bead embellishments. They are inspired by Celtic designs, and look like something liberated from a museum.

My stall at a recent craft fair with more of my stock; the picture on the right shows four designs of mugs with matching coasters. The mugs are £9.00, coasters £3.50, £12.00 for both.
I have a range of melamine coasters printed with images of my work, Easy to post, they are £3.50 each.
